This flying site is located in Southern France and is a world-renowned soaring site for hang gliding, paragliding and sailplanes. You have access to the entire Southern Alps from this spectacular site.
It is located on the Aspres sur Buech airfield. This grass field has runways in both East/West directions as well as North/South. Just above the airfield is the foot launch site that is on top the ridge running next to the airfield.
This allows for easy access to any type of launch methods you like: Foot launch or aerotow.
This site was used recently for the Class 2 Rigid Wing World Championship for 2020. We have included all the daily flight tasks used in this competition if you would like to attempt these same tasks!

Competition Tasks
If you want to try and challenge yourself or you want to have some fun flying with your friends, think about trying to fly some pre-determined task routes. This zip file contains a JSON file that has the 8 competition tasks used in the 2020 World Championships held at this site. Just download the JSON file and import it into your application database. You can then export an MSFS 2020 flight plan and/or an XCSoar task file for any of these tasks. If you use the MSFS 2020 flight plan, MSFS 2020 will give you visual indicators of where each turn point is during your flight. The XCSoar task can be used in your flight computer (your phone or PC) that will guide your around the course and is very helpful when doing long XC flights.
MSFS 2020 Scenery Package
The MSFS 2020 scenery package download can be installed into your Simulators community folder and will then become an available add-on to your simulator’s environment. This will add a ramp, wind socks and tell tails that will make this site much more immersive.
This is an Add-On modification package designed for the MSFS 2020 Flight Simulator.
You must install this add-on into your community folder for your installed MSFS 2020 installation! That is all there is to it. There is nothing else for you to do!
