The most accessible entry point to hang gliding simulation. Single surface wings have one membrane, making them lighter and more forgiving. An ideal starting point for new pilots.
The defining image of hang gliding. King post gliders use above-wing tubing and wire bracing for structure, giving them their characteristic silhouette. A versatile category spanning beginner to advanced performance.
Without the king post assembly, topless gliders offer a cleaner airframe and higher performance. These are the gliders serious cross-country pilots and competitors choose.
Spoiler-controlled gliders use deployable surfaces rather than weight-shift for roll control, giving them a handling character distinct from conventional hang gliders.
