Welcome to the page where you can read about bush plane and outback flying that happened in MSFS 2020. If you are curious about what it’s like to fly these rugged and versatile aircraft in the simulator, or if you are looking for some inspiration and tips for your own backcountry adventures, then you have come to the right place.
Bush planes are aircraft that are specially designed or modified to operate in remote areas with little or no infrastructure. They usually have features such as short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities, high wings, large tires, floats, or skis. Bush planes can fly to places that other aircraft can’t, such as dirt strips, grass fields, lakes, rivers, or snow-covered mountains.
Outback flying is a type of flying that involves exploring the vast and diverse landscapes of Australia. Outback flying can take you to some of the most iconic and scenic locations in the country, such as Uluru, Kakadu, the Great Barrier Reef, or the Kimberley. Outback flying can also challenge you with extreme weather conditions, long distances, and limited facilities.
MSFS 2020 offers a great opportunity to experience bush plane and outback flying in a realistic and immersive way. You can choose from several bush plane models and liveries in the simulator or download some from third-party websites. You can also use various tools and addons to enhance your bush plane and outback flying experience, such as bush trips, navlogs, POIs, and more.

A fun flight in the Kodiak

I am doing my Neofly. Heading north from Vancouver about 700 mi. Just trying to arrive alive in this real weather. If I make it and make a smooth landing I can pay off the loan for the Kodiak.

Are you flying in VR?
No. Was worried it would CTD. Sim on desktop is doing fine. Temps steady under 70C. Unfortunately the Neofly app is not doing so well it just CTD.

Waited too long to get the cabin lights set. Fumbling around in the dark for switches.

Made it! Butter landing. Piece of cake when you are terrified.

That was very cool. Got to do more flights like that one. Would have been very long in VR but it was great in head tracker.
