How it all fits together.

In MSFS 2024 each glider type is one category package — the hangar. It carries the instruments, the pilot and the handling every glider shares. Gliders included with it sit on top; add-on gliders and livery packs plug into it. Free helper packages fill the world around you.

Install the category package once

King Post is the first. It includes the Wills Wing U2 160 and U2 145, each with four sail presets, and runs every glider in the category.

Add gliders with add-ons

An add-on brings only what makes its glider different: wing, sail, frame and colours. It appears in the MSFS hangar beside the gliders you already have.

Pick a preset, then a livery

A preset is a specific glider: model, sail pattern, pilot, harness and helmet. A livery is its colours. Change the livery and it stays the same glider.

Add the helpers

Free helper packages place wind socks, ramps, beacons, parked gliders and people at your launch and landing zone when you teleport.
