This launch site offers amazing views of Lake Chelan, and on a clear and sunny day, you can likely catch a pretty good view of Mt. Rainier towering in the distance.
Like much of Washington state, the weather in Chelan can be pretty hit or miss. However, the spring and summer months offer the best conditions for hang gliding. The average high in June is comfortably in the low to mid-80s with very little precipitation. As expected, Fall and winter offer cooler temperatures, but if you don't mind a little chill in the air, you can find some great conditions for hang gliding here as well.
