Beechmont Launch is an east facing launch overlooking the Numinbah valley, with distant views to the Gold Coast in the east and Mt Warning to the south. The site is situated at Rosins lookout, and with the Flying Bean cafe directly across the road it is a pleasant destination for both tourists and pilots.
Beechmont launch runs directly alongside Beechmont Road with a row of privet trees in-between. The launch area is broad and steep, with a well maintained grassy surface.
Set up for launch in front of the privet trees to the south of the windsock to avoid being blown back onto the road, especially in windy conditions.
Pilots are permitted to land in the property directly behind launch and the Flying Bean cafe. Land near the windsock situated near the crest of the hill.
Has 1 different launch points. The best wind direction is 142 @ 0 knts but many sites can be flown from multiple directions, so check before you fly.
