About

La Sagra is a mountain range and an isolated peak located in the north of the province of Granada, Spain, between the municipalities of Puebla de Don Fadrique. It is the highest point of the Subbética mountain range and the Altiplano of Granada; Its altitude is 2383 m a.s.l. at its highest point (it has a double summit of unequal height). Its uniqueness lies in its prominence, as it emerges solitary surrounded by other areas of lower altitude, in addition, it is the highest peak in Andalusia outside the Sierra Nevada. Its summits remain snowy during the fall, winter and early spring. It is nestled at the back of the Sierras de Cazorla and Segura, in the extreme north of the province of Granada.
