Aspres sur Buech

About

Great site for beginners as well as advanced pilots! Located in southern France just outside the town of Aspres-sur-Buech. There is a grass field that you can aerotow from as well as land at. The foot launch site is just above this field and is a long, high ridge that is very soarable both for ridge lift and thermals. Excellent Cross-Country flights into the Alps is very possible from this site. It has hosted many competitions including the 2022 Class 2 World championships.

Flying Conditions

Has 4 different launch points and at least 1 or more defined places that you can tow from. The best wind direction is 170.6 @ 10 knts but many sites can be flown from multiple directions, so check before you fly. You can expect to find: thermal conditions ridge soaring conditions cross country potential , all dependent on current weather conditions.
