About
The Parmelan is a mountain in France, Haute-Savoie, on the western edge of the Massif des Bornes. It takes the form of a limestone plateau located between 1,600 and 1,800 metres above sea level, bordered by cliffs on its northern, western and southern edges and culminating at 1,856 metres above sea level at its south-western cliff. Its ascent to the head of the Parmelan, which dominates Annecy, begins at the edge of the forest road serving the forest on its western slope. A classic hike for Annecy residents, the summit offers an interesting view of the Annecy agglomeration and the Dingy gorge;
